The Chuckling Cheese Company is not currently operating normally as a subscription box service, so we cannot recommend signing up. It is a family-run British business that started in 2012 and was incorporated in 2015. It made its name with a modern range of British cheeses, from aged vintage cheddars to unusual flavoured cheeses and guest cheeses, and listed more than 50 cheeses. Its main offering was cheese hampers and gift boxes rather than a classic monthly box. It had over 100 gift options covering cheese, biscuits and crackers, chutneys and pickles, sweet treats, its own Chuckling Snacks range, and artisan gins and craft beers. You could pick a set hamper put together by the company's hamper team, or build your own box by choosing the cheeses and extras yourself. It also sold cheese celebration cakes, which are stacked wheels of cheese used in place of a traditional cake. The range leaned towards novelty and flavoured cheeses, such as a charcoal cheese, alongside more traditional cheddars. The site does not explain how a recurring subscription worked. If you want regular cheese deliveries, choose a service that is clearly up and running.
