The Funky IndianWali Curry Club

What's in the box: The store offers Indian spice sets and gift hampers, but the site does not list what each one contains.

Despite the curry club name, The Funky IndianWali is mainly a Sunderland catering business. It was established in 2019 and caters corporate and private events across the North East of England. It also offers in-home cooking experiences, Indian cookery master classes and an online store selling spice sets and gift hampers. That store is the part that matters if you want Indian food delivered. The site does not describe a recurring subscription, a monthly box, how often anything ships or how to cancel. Think of it as a place to buy a one-off spice set or hamper, not a curry club in the usual sense. The appeal is the background. The business is built on heritage Indian recipes passed down through the family, along with street food and tapas style dishes. It says it has catered for the Indian national cricket team and several large companies. If that cooking carries through to the spice sets, they could make a thoughtful gift. The downside is how little detail there is. The site does not list what goes into each set, what the hampers contain or where they ship. If you want regular deliveries of spices and recipe cards, look elsewhere. If you like supporting a small regional food business, it is worth sending a message to ask what is available.
