What's in the box: When it ran, a typical box held calligraphy and hand lettering supplies such as pens, inks or paper for practicing the craft.

The Inky Box has closed and no longer takes subscriptions, so it isn't an option for shoppers today. It was a US subscription box for people interested in calligraphy and hand lettering. Its Cratejoy listing has been archived, and the most recent customer reviews we could find are from 2019. The theinkybox.com domain now shows only a generic web hosting placeholder page, with no shop, product information or contact details. When it was running, it sent a curated mix of lettering supplies to people who wanted to practice the craft or try new tools without picking each item themselves. The site no longer describes past boxes, so we can't confirm exact contents, how often boxes shipped or what they cost. If you liked the idea, you can build a similar kit yourself. A few brush pens, a pointed pen holder with a couple of nibs, some ink and smooth practice paper will cover most lettering styles. Craft stores and online art suppliers stock all of these. You can also look for calligraphy subscription boxes that are still running, but check that any service has recent reviews and a working website before you pay. Do not try to subscribe to The Inky Box, because there is no active service behind it.
