The Little Surprise Box (The Little Rose Shop)

What's in the box: The site does not list box contents in detail, but you can expect items from the shop's Catholic range, such as books, prayer aids, home decor and gifts for moms and children.

The Little Surprise Box comes from The Little Rose Shop, a US Catholic gift and book store for moms, kids and babies. The shop describes its products as practical, intentional and faith inspired, and its stated mission is to help families bring faith into everyday life at home, which it calls the Domestic Church. The subscription box sits alongside its regular range, which includes prayer journals, prayer corner decor, kids prayer mugs, Catholic apparel and blankets. The shop also says it donates a portion of its profits to life affirming organizations each year. That will appeal to some buyers, and it tells you clearly where the shop stands. The weak spot is detail. The site gives little information about the box itself. It does not clearly say what goes in each shipment, who the box is aimed at, how often it ships or how to cancel, so read the subscription page carefully before you sign up. The store as a whole has a strong customer rating and a well developed product line, which suggests the items will be made with care. Still, a surprise format only works if you already like the shop's style. If you do, this is an easy way to keep receiving its products. If you would rather choose each item yourself, shop the main store instead.
