- Readers in Mexico who want a curated monthly book
What's in the box: One curated book and a letter from the founder, plus a stationery item and a reading guide on the Classic tier and a literary object such as a tote or candle on the top tier.
Trama Box is a monthly book subscription from Trama Books, a small Mexican bookshop that sells through a Gumroad storefront. Each month the shop picks one book for its intimate storytelling and sends it with a letter from the founder. Stationery is an extra here, not the main product. The middle and top tiers add a postcard, bookmark, paper goods or a surprise item, along with a reading guide. There are three tiers. Trama Basic, at $25 a month, covers the book, the letter and shipping, but it is currently listed as sold out. Trama Classic, at $35, adds the stationery piece and reading guide. Trama Book Lover, at $45, also adds a special literary object such as a tote, print, notebook or candle. The store page shows prices in US dollars. Shipping is included anywhere in Mexico, and the site does not say whether it ships to other countries. The subscription renews on its own and you can cancel at any time. The store is written in Spanish. Details are thin: the site shows no past boxes, says nothing about which genres or publishers to expect, and gives no billing or dispatch dates. If you mainly want journaling supplies, keep in mind that this is a book box first. If you want a carefully chosen read with a personal touch, Classic is the sensible tier to start with.
