Urban Organic Gardener Seeds-of-the-Month Club

What's in the box: The site does not say what each shipment contains, but the club name suggests a monthly selection of organic garden seeds.

Urban Organic Gardener is best known as an urban gardening blog about growing your own food in small spaces with limited, creative resources. Most of the site is short news roundups that summarize and link to outside articles on topics like leaving fallen leaves for wildlife, the mental health benefits of front gardens, and how farms and cities depend on each other. The newest posts on the homepage are from December 2020, so the blog does not seem to have been updated in some time. The front page does not clearly show a Seeds-of-the-Month Club. There is no plan description, price, shipping schedule or list of seed varieties, which makes it hard to recommend as a subscription. Before you sign up, check that the club is still taking orders, ask which seeds come each month and whether they are certified organic, and find out how to cancel. If you mostly want reading material on small-space organic growing, the archive may still be useful. If you want a reliable monthly seed delivery with clear terms, a seed company that openly publishes its box contents and policies is the safer choice for now.
