Vinebox is best known for 12 Nights of Wine, which it calls the world's first wine advent calendar. It comes out once a year and the company says it sells out every season. The front page names this year's Velvet and Vine collections but does not list their contents or prices, so check the product page before you plan on one as a gift. The rest of the year, Vinebox sells a monthly tasting box with six sommelier-picked wines in 100 ml glass tubes, plus a tasting video led by a sommelier, tasting notes and a pairing guide. Each monthly collection is only sold during its month. Boxes list at $79. Subscriptions come in 3, 6 and 12 month terms, and the monthly subscription is currently on sale for $63.20. Shipping is a flat $5 per order, and orders of five or more Boxes of the Month get 15% off, which suits a group tasting night. The tubes are the main appeal because you can try six wines without opening six bottles. That works better for curious drinkers than for people who want full bottles with dinner, and the price per glass is higher than buying bottles. All wines are under 15% ABV, buyers must be 21 or older, and delivery is limited to where the law allows. Sugarwish has owned Vinebox since October 2021.
