What's in the box: Pre-seeded hydroponic pod kits for herbs, greens, vegetables or flowers, designed to drop straight into an AeroGarden countertop unit.
AeroGarden no longer runs as its own standalone service. aerogarden.com now redirects to the ScottsMiracle-Gro online store, where AeroGarden is one product line among the parent company's lawn and garden brands. When it ran on its own, AeroGarden sold countertop hydroponic gardens with built-in grow lights. It also sold pre-seeded pod kits for herbs, lettuces, tomatoes, peppers and flowers, so owners could restock their gardens without soil or outdoor space. The appeal was simplicity: you dropped in pods, added water and nutrients, and let the timed lights do the rest. The ScottsMiracle-Gro store still lists AeroGarden gardens such as the Bounty, Harvest Elite 360 and Sprout, along with seed pod kits, grow lights and accessories. However, much of the range is marked as clearance or last chance stock that will not come back once it sells out. That makes the long-term supply of pods, spare parts and support uncertain. The site does not say whether any recurring seed pod delivery plan is still offered. If you already own an AeroGarden, you may want to secure compatible pods while they are available or look into third-party pods that fit the same units. If you want a new indoor garden with dependable ongoing refills, consider brands that are fully operating.
