What's in the box: A box typically held around five or six skincare, makeup and hair products, mixing full sizes with deluxe samples, plus a card explaining each item.
Allure Beauty Box does not appear to be operating normally: its page on allure.com now returns a Page Not Found (404) error, so we are treating the service as closed. The wider Allure magazine site, owned by Condé Nast, still loads and its menu still shows a Beauty Box link. That link alone does not show that new orders are being filled. When it ran, the service was a monthly beauty subscription curated by Allure's editors. Each box mixed skincare, makeup, hair and sometimes nail or body products, in a blend of full sizes and deluxe samples. Many boxes featured brands and items tied to the magazine's Best of Beauty awards. Boxes usually came with a printed card explaining each product and how to use it. The main appeal was editorial curation: subscribers got products chosen by a well known beauty publication rather than by a quiz or algorithm. The drawbacks were the usual ones for sample boxes. Subscribers had little control over what arrived, and some shades or formulas would not suit them. We do not recommend trying to sign up. If you were a subscriber, check your account and payment statements, and contact Condé Nast customer support about any billing that is still active.
