Babies "R" Us at Kohl's Baby Registry Welcome Box
A Kohl's baby registry with useful perks, though the site says little about a welcome box

- Expecting parents in the US who already shop at Kohl's
What's in the box: The site does not describe what a welcome box contains, so expect baby samples at most and check with Kohl's before counting on one.
Babies "R" Us at Kohl's is a baby registry run through kohls.com. It is free to set up, and people who sign up for free registries often hope for a welcome box. The trouble is that the main registry page never mentions one. It doesn't explain how to qualify for a box, what goes in it or when it ships. If a free box is your main reason for signing up, ask Kohl's customer service before you commit.
The registry itself is better documented. The site promises a 15% completion discount on qualifying gifts left on your list, Kohl's Rewards on purchases (gift cards excluded), and returns on qualifying gifts for 365 days after the purchase date. Kohl's says it has added hundreds of baby products, from cribs to car seats. You can add or remove items, share your list and track what has been bought. The Kohl's app also lets you scan products in a store and add them to your registry. Guests can search for a registry by name and, if they want, by state.
For US families who already shop at Kohl's, this is a reasonable registry with practical perks. As a free box club, though, it's hard to recommend while the welcome box goes unexplained on the site.
