Bakedin

What's in the box: The site does not offer a bread or sourdough box; it sells vegan sweets, party pick and mix bags and seasonal decorating kits as one-off purchases.

Bakedin was a UK baking subscription that posted letterbox kits with pre-measured dry ingredients and recipe cards. The company went into administration in May 2023 and was reported as acquired or merged later that year. Today, bakedin.co.uk shows Treat Kitchen, a small UK business selling vegan sweets in message bottles, pick and mix party bags, sweet crackers and seasonal gifts. The site also mentions baking activity kits, and its Christmas range includes a gingerbread house decorating kit. The site shows nothing like a sourdough or bread baking subscription. There is no visible plan, no bread mix, starter or proving kit, and no explanation of what happened to former Bakedin subscribers. If you want a monthly bread box, this is not it, and a dedicated bread or sourdough service will suit you better. If you want sweets as a gift, or a one-off decorating kit for a party or for children, Treat Kitchen may work for you, but judge it as a sweet shop rather than a subscription. If you held a Bakedin subscription or gift voucher, don't assume it carries over, because the site does not say that it does. We have scored it low because it no longer offers what this category promises.
