Bardabas

What's in the box: Each box has a monthly theme and age-matched developmental activities, plus all the materials needed to do them.

Bardabas is a Turkish monthly activity box for children from age 1 up to age 10, and it has been running since 2012. To sign up, you give your child's birth date. Each month a box matched to that age arrives with a new theme and all the materials needed for the activities inside. The company says specialists prepare the activities for each age group to support children's mental and physical development. Your first box goes out right after you join. After that, boxes arrive in the first week of each month, and shipping within Turkey is free. You can cancel whenever you like. Bardabas describes itself as a fully women-founded business and says design and production happen in its own workshops in Turkey. A giving program called Bardabas GİVİN links each box to helping a child in need, but the site does not explain how that works. The homepage is mostly in Turkish and does not show prices, so you will need to click through to the membership options to compare plans. It also does not show a sample box or explain how the activities differ between a toddler and an older child. For parents in Turkey who want ready-made, age-matched play sessions without shopping for craft supplies, it is a long-running and simple option.
