BikeLoot

Closed. The domain now belongs to an unrelated website; the subscription box is no longer running. This monthly sample box was reviewed in 2013, and I found no later activity.

What's in the box: Each month brought a mix of sample-size cycling products for riders to try.

BikeLoot is no longer operating. The subscription box has shut down, and its old web address now leads to an unrelated online casino comparison site. When it ran, BikeLoot was a US monthly sample box for cyclists. The idea was to let riders try smaller sizes of cycling products before buying full-size versions. Reviewers covered it around 2013, but it shows no signs of activity after that, and there is no way to subscribe today. Because the domain has changed hands, do not enter personal or payment details at that address, since the site there has nothing to do with the original service. The appeal of the concept was discovery. A rider could try products from several categories and find out what suited them without buying whole packages. The drawback of sample boxes like this is that subscribers do not choose the contents, so some items will not fit a given rider's habits or type of riding. If you liked the idea, look for a cycling subscription that is running now, with clear terms, a working customer service contact and a recent record of shipping boxes.
