ComicBoxer

What's in the box: When it operated, boxes centered on comics and manga, but the exact contents and quantities are not known.

ComicBoxer is not currently operating, and its website no longer loads, so you cannot order, manage or cancel a subscription through it. When it was running, ComicBoxer was a subscription box for comics and manga, aimed mainly at readers in the US. The idea behind boxes like this is simple: reading material arrives at your door on a regular schedule, so you can find new series without spending hours browsing a shop. Some readers also enjoy not knowing exactly what will turn up. The site does not give details on pricing, how often boxes shipped, how many items came in each one or how titles were picked, so it is hard to say how good a value it was. If you had an active subscription, check your bank or card statements for recurring charges. If payments keep going out for a service that no longer delivers, contact your card issuer. If you want a comics or manga box today, look for one that is clearly still running, with a working website, visible pricing and a plain cancellation policy. A pull list at your local comic shop is another reliable way to get new issues regularly without depending on a mail order box.
