What's in the box: Each box contains the materials and tools for one craft project plus clear instructions, with no prior experience needed.
Cosy Craft Club is a UK monthly subscription that sends a different craft project each month. It is aimed at beginners who want a calm, screen-free hobby without buying lots of supplies. It has been running for over seven years and is built around variety. Past boxes have covered punch needle, blackwork and goldwork embroidery, batik painting, stick weaving, book binding, paper cutting and gel plate printing. The October box is leather marbling: you swirl inks on a liquid surface and transfer the pattern onto a small leather purse. If you are specifically after soap or candle making, note that the site does not highlight either craft. This is a general mixed-craft box, so those projects may come up rarely or not at all. The subscription costs £29 a month with free postage. You are billed on the 1st of each month, boxes are posted within a week, and there is a monthly cut-off date for getting the current box. You can pause or cancel at any time, and you can swap a craft you don't fancy, which reduces the risk of the rotating format. Six and twelve month subscriptions come with a free fold-out craft caddy. Gift subscriptions and in-person crafting sessions are also offered. The site does not state whether it ships outside the UK.
