Ownership. FullBeauty Brands acquired it in April 2024 and kept its personal styling service.
What's in the box: A small set of clothing and accessories picked by a stylist from size-inclusive brands to fit your profile, which you try on at home before deciding what to keep.
Dia & Co began in New York in 2015 as a personal styling service built around plus-size women, at a time when few styling boxes carried extended sizes. You start with a style profile that covers your body shape, height, sizes for different garments, fit problems you run into, and the styles and brands you like. A stylist uses those answers to choose a selection of clothing and ships it to you. You try the pieces on at home, keep what works, and send back the rest. FullBeauty Brands, which also owns several other size-inclusive retailers, bought Dia & Co in April 2024. Its marketplace was folded into FullBeauty's wider online shopping site, while the personal styling service carried on. One of the company's co-founders stayed on to lead the styling business. The strengths are the same ones Dia has always had: stylists who work only with plus-size bodies and a detailed fit profile that gets past simple size labels. The weaknesses are typical of styling boxes. How much you like a box depends heavily on your stylist and on how much feedback you give, and some boxes will be a miss. Since the acquisition, the offer has also become harder to tell apart from the parent company's own shopping site, so check the current terms before you sign up.
