What's in the box: Each delivery is a recurring shipment of Encha's organic ceremonial grade matcha powder, sent monthly or every two months.
Encha is a matcha brand first and a subscription second. Its Subscribe & Save program puts its ceremonial grade matcha powder on a repeat order, delivered monthly or every two months, and takes up to 15% off. Shipping is free on all orders. The site says you can skip, edit, or cancel at any time, which is about as flexible as these plans get. The tea is the reason to sign up. Encha buys first-harvest, shade-grown, stone-ground matcha from farms in Kagoshima, Miyazaki, Shizuoka, and Uji, and it is USDA certified organic. The range is simple. Ceremonial grade is for whisking with water. The ceremonial latte blend is made for milk. Barista grade is for cafés and stronger milk drinks. Encha describes the ceremonial grade as naturally sweet with creamy umami, and the latte blend as having toasted nut and soft vanilla notes. You will not get variety. This plan refills one product you already like. It is not a curated discovery box with rotating teas or accessories. Limited edition single-cultivar reserves are listed on the site but were sold out at the time of writing. If you drink matcha daily and know your grade, this is an easy way to keep your tin full. If you want surprises, look elsewhere.
