What's in the box: When it operated, each monthly bag typically held a handful of makeup, skincare and grooming products, mostly samples with some full size items, in a reusable pouch.
Fab Bag is no longer operating, and fabbag.com now redirects to the SUGAR Cosmetics online store. When it ran, Fab Bag was an Indian beauty subscription that sent members a monthly bag of makeup, skincare and grooming products, usually a mix of sample sizes and the occasional full size item, packed in a reusable pouch. The appeal was discovery: subscribers could try brands and formulas they might not have picked up on their own, without committing to a full purchase of each one. The service ran for about nine years before shutting down because it could not scale. Its founders went on to build SUGAR Cosmetics, the makeup brand whose store now appears in place of the old site. Anyone visiting the old address will find a regular shop selling SUGAR's own lipsticks, foundations, kajal, blush and skincare, not a subscription. There is no box to join, no curated monthly selection and no mix of outside brands. If you want a beauty subscription in India, you will need to look elsewhere. If you simply want Indian makeup, SUGAR's store is a separate retail business and is best judged on its own merits rather than as a continuation of Fab Bag.
