Family One (formerly Baby Box Canada)

Closed. The website no longer loads. It now offers freebies and giveaways instead of the original free baby box, and its current program was not confirmed.

What's in the box: When it operated, a box typically held a cardboard sleep box with a firm mattress plus baby product samples and new parent information.

Family One, the program formerly known as Baby Box Canada, is not currently operating normally, and its website no longer loads. When it ran, it was best known in Canada for giving expecting parents a free baby box, a sturdy cardboard box with a firm fitted mattress that could serve as a safe sleep space for a newborn. Parents typically qualified by registering online and completing a short safe sleep education course before claiming their box. The boxes usually came with a selection of baby product samples and helpful information for new families. Over time the brand moved away from the baby box itself and toward general freebies and giveaways aimed at parents. What the program offers today, if anything, is not confirmed, and with the site down there is no reliable way to join, check eligibility, or read the terms. Shoppers looking for free baby gear or new parent samples should look at programs that are clearly active, such as hospital or provincial initiatives, retailer baby registries, and sample offers from baby brands. If Family One returns with a working site and a clearly described program, it may be worth a fresh look, but for now it is not something to count on.
