What's in the box: A custom-stocked office pantry of healthy snacks, drinks, coffee, dairy and staples, chosen to fit your team's preferences.
Garten is not really a subscription box. It is a full office food program. It stocks and manages workplace pantries and breakrooms, and a team of nutritionists and tasters picks the products to suit each client. The range covers packaged bars, jerky, chips, nuts, cheese, bread, milk, coffee, condiments and drinks, with a focus on organic and non-GMO items. Every product is ranked into one of five tiers based on nutrition and sustainability. That makes it easier for companies that care about what their staff eat. The online dashboard is the other main draw. Managers can track orders, deliveries and budget health, review spending analytics, and collect staff feedback through a portal where employees rate and suggest items. Garten also runs self-serve fresh food markets for offices, residential buildings and campuses. Service is limited to Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, New York City, Salt Lake City, San Francisco and Seattle, so offices elsewhere can't use it. The site does not publish pricing, and signing up starts with a sales inquiry. HUNGRY acquired Garten in April 2025, so its branding and offerings may change over time. For a mid-sized or large office in one of those cities, it is a polished, data-minded choice. Individuals and very small teams should look elsewhere.
