Gear Pack

What's in the box: A themed mystery selection of outdoor, survival and tactical gear, from 2 to 4 essentials at the Basic level up to knives, camping equipment and premium branded tools at higher tiers.

Gear Pack is a Canadian mystery box service for people who like outdoor, survival and tactical gear. It has four monthly levels (Basic, Basic Plus, Advanced and Ultimate) priced from $29.99 to $159.99 CAD per month plus shipping. There is also a quarterly Elite level built around premium knives and high end gear. Each higher tier includes the contents of the tiers below it, so paying more gets you extra items on top of the same core selection. Basic Plus adds a blade or tool from brands such as Schrade, Gerber and Browning. Advanced adds larger items like sleeping bags, backpacks, tents or stoves. Ultimate adds a premium piece from makers like ESEE, Spyderco, SOG or Kershaw. Monthly boxes follow a theme, but the contents stay hidden until delivery, so you have little control over what arrives. There are no contracts and you can cancel at any time. Prepaid 6 or 12 month subscriptions that do not renew are available for gifting, and the company also sells one off mystery boxes. When checked, some of the site looked out of date: the Elite cut off date did not match the current season. Confirm timing before you order, and remember that shipping is charged on top of the monthly price.
