GIG supporters looking for merch, not food

Closed.GFCO's shop no longer offers a food subscription box.

What's in the box: When it ran, a box typically held an assortment of packaged gluten-free foods and snacks.

The GFCO Gluten-Free Subscription Box has closed, and the GFCO shop no longer offers a food subscription of any kind. GFCO is the Gluten-Free Certification Organization, a program of the Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG). GIG is a US nonprofit that supports people with celiac disease and gluten sensitivity. When the box was running, it sent subscribers a selection of packaged gluten-free foods. That gave shoppers a way to try new products without searching for them store by store. The site does not say how often boxes shipped or which brands were included. Today, shop.gfco.org is a merchandise store selling GFCO branded clothing such as hoodies and tees. It says 100% of proceeds support GIG's work for the gluten-free community. That makes it a fine way to back the organization, but you can't get food there. If you want regular deliveries of gluten-free snacks or pantry items, you will need a service that is still shipping. GFCO's certification program is separate from the box and still runs, so its mark on packaging can help you choose products while you shop elsewhere.
