Home Tester Club is not a subscription box in the usual sense. It is a free product testing and review community run by The Brand Power Company. You register, fill in your profile and apply for current test campaigns. If you are picked, the brand sends you a free product to try, and you are expected to post an honest review in return. Recent campaigns have covered over the counter healthcare items, hair and skin products, and ready to heat meals. It costs nothing to join, but you are not guaranteed a place on any test, so treat it as an occasional bonus rather than a regular delivery. A points system rewards activity such as completing your profile, taking part in tests, leaving reviews and joining in community discussions. Each month the 20 most active members are invited to an exclusive Top Contributor test with bonus free products, so the keenest reviewers get the most out of it. The site has a country switcher, and its main page leans towards American brands and pack sizes. UK members should check the UK version to see which campaigns are actually open to them. If you enjoy writing reviews and are happy to share your opinions with brands, it is a low risk way to pick up the odd freebie.
