Hugabox

What's in the box: Themed treats and small dorm-friendly items for college students, with seasonal and back to school versions.

Hugabox sells college care packages with a charitable angle. The site says 90% of proceeds go to childhood cancer research, and it names sarcoma research as its charity focus. The shop is organized around themed packages, including back to school treats, dorm room décor and holiday boxes such as Easter. It also offers a Cookies for Kids' Cancer collection, separate cancer care packages for patients, and a partner marketplace. The business lists a PO box in Kirkland, Washington, and sells in US dollars. Its blog notes that the parenting site Grown and Flown featured its Easter package and included it in a 2024 roundup of places to order college care packages. The site does not make clear whether you can set up a recurring subscription or whether each package is a single order, so shoppers who want monthly deliveries should check before buying. The main page also does not spell out detailed contents, shipping regions or delivery timing. The blog is updated only occasionally. If you want a thoughtful package for a student and like the idea of your money supporting cancer research, Hugabox is a reasonable pick. If you want a highly customizable monthly box, look closely at the options or consider other services.
