What's in the box: The site does not clearly state what the box contains, so confirm the contents with the shop before subscribing.
In The Bag! Tropical Fish is a small, family run UK specialist focused on L number plecos, livebearers, cichlids and other less common tropical species. It also makes its own high algae food, Pleco Pops, which it says it developed because it could not find a suitable feed for its own stock. The shop's general standards are the strongest reason to look closer. Fish are quarantined for at least 14 days, wormed and treated for parasites on arrival, and kept on tanks with separate filtration, heating and equipment. The business says it avoids hybrids and dyed, tattooed or deformed fish, works with experienced breeders and hobbyists, and holds a pet shop licence (PET0019) from Cherwell District Council in Oxfordshire. Packaging has moved to fully recyclable reflective pouches instead of polystyrene boxes. The catch is that the site's main pages say very little about the Premium Membership Box itself. Contents, price, frequency and cancellation terms are not spelled out where a shopper would expect to find them, so read the product page carefully or message the team on Facebook before signing up. If the box draws on the same food range and specialist knowledge as the shop, it could suit pleco keepers well, but treat that as unconfirmed until the details are clear.
