What's in the box: Each kit held an exclusive hardcover edition of a contemporary novel along with a bookmark, a postcard, the club magazine and a small gift.

Intrínsecos is no longer running: the Brazilian publisher Intrínseca closed the subscription club in 2022, and the last kits shipped around August to September of that year. When it operated, the club sent members a selected book in an exclusive hardcover edition, packaged with a bookmark, a postcard, a club magazine and a small gift. The picks were mostly popular contemporary fiction published in Portuguese, covering reflective literary novels, mysteries and romance. Past selections included As vitoriosas by Laetitia Colombani, Água fresca para as flores by Valérie Perrin, O Clube do Crime das Quintas-Feiras by Richard Osman, O enigma do quarto 622 by Joël Dicker and Na estrada com o ex by Beth O'Leary. The website now works only as a storefront for leftover boxes, which are sold through Amazon and Mercado Livre rather than by subscription. The site describes these as the last kits available, so stock is limited and specific titles may sell out. You can no longer subscribe, there are no new selections, and the monthly surprise is gone. A single leftover kit may appeal to collectors who want a particular special edition. Readers looking for an active Brazilian book club should look elsewhere.
