This subscription from Scottish Book Trust sends one mystery book each month, chosen by bestselling romance author Jenny Colgan. Her picks cover romantic comedies, love stories across different time periods, romance at every age, meet cutes and long-established relationships. Some books are funny and some deal with hard times, so expect a mix of light and more substantial reads. You can sign up for three or six months, and the three month plan is prepaid. Subscriptions are managed through Appstle, which lets you skip, reschedule, edit or cancel deliveries. Each book arrives wrapped and comes with a postcard from Colgan explaining why she chose it, suggestions for what to read next, and a reflective reading card. The site offers optional spoiler hints for each plan, which helps if you're worried about duplicates, and if you think you've already read one of the books you can email the team. The obvious limit is the fixed curated list: everyone gets the same books in the same order, so heavy romance readers may already own some of them.
