JigBox

What's in the box: A jigsaw puzzle printed with your own photo or a chosen design, packed in a box printed with the same image.

JigBox is a UK maker of personalised photo jigsaw puzzles. You upload a picture, and the company prints it, cuts it into a puzzle and packs it in a box printed with the same image. Alongside custom orders, the shop sells ready-made designs in themes such as famous places, motoring, artistic styles, animals and wildlife, with several options on each product. The site explains its process in detail. Staff check your image's resolution before printing and tell you if there is a problem. Puzzles are inkjet printed directly rather than having a picture transferred onto a pre-made blank, and they are cut with a dedicated die rather than from precut sheets. Boxes are laser cut and assembled by hand. JigBox says its materials are fully recyclable and plastic-free, and that express delivery is available for late gifts. Shoppers should know that this works as a one-off gift shop rather than a recurring subscription. The site does not describe any monthly plan, so do not expect a new puzzle to arrive on a schedule. Piece counts, board thickness and prices are not stated on the main pages, so check the product page before ordering. Standard shipping is free on orders over £30. For a personalised birthday or pet gift, it is a credible and carefully made option.
