Loot Anime is no longer operating. Loot Crate's anime subscription shipped its last box, themed "Heroes", in December 2023 and was then discontinued. While it ran, it was a monthly mystery box for anime and manga fans. Each box was built around officially licensed collectibles, apparel and accessories from popular series. Every box had a theme, and part of the appeal was not knowing which franchises or items would show up. The parent company has a rocky history. Loot Crate filed for bankruptcy in August 2019 and was sold in October 2019 to Money Chest LLC, a buyer backed by the collectibles maker NECA. The Loot Crate website is still online and sells other lines: the main Loot Crate box, Loot Fright, Loot Tees and a Wizarding World crate. Loot Anime is not among them, and the site does not list any way to order it. If you want a monthly anime box, you will need to look at other services. Past Loot Anime items sometimes turn up on resale markets, but the service itself is not producing new boxes. Because the product is discontinued, there is nothing here to sign up for, and we do not rate services that have stopped shipping.
