- Swiss Pokémon collectors who want a mystery box with checkable value
What's in the box: A surprise mix of sealed Pokémon product such as boosters, tins, three-packs or Elite Trainer Boxes, plus hand-picked single cards in French or English, totalling at least the price paid by Cardmarket value.
Pokéabo is a Swiss monthly Pokémon box run from Châtel-St-Denis. It is aimed at collectors who want a mix of sealed product and single cards. Plans start at 29.90 CHF per month, Swiss shipping is included, and there is no commitment. The main promise is that every box is worth at least what you paid, based on Cardmarket prices. That detail matters, because Cardmarket is the standard European price reference, so you can check the guarantee yourself. Each box also gets a public page that lists its items and their values. Sealed product comes from the recent Mega Evolution, Scarlet & Violet and Sword & Shield eras. Singles can come from any set back to Base Set, in Good to Near Mint condition. You can set preferences for language (French or English only), vintage cards, sleeves, plushies and a favourite Pokémon. Boxes ship in the first week of each month, and you can cancel in one click from your account. October boxes include a 30th anniversary booster valued at 16 CHF while stock lasts. One caveat applies to any value guarantee: market value is not the same as what you could get by reselling. Singles in Good condition may also disappoint collectors who care about condition. The site does not explain how its higher tiers differ. Even so, this box is more open about its contents than most mystery boxes.
