What's in the box: A set of organic, flash-frozen baby or toddler meals made from vegetables, fruits, grains and legumes, ready to heat and serve or blend.
Raised Real started as a subscription service for organic, plant-forward baby food. It sends frozen meals that parents warm up and serve as they are, or blend or mash to suit their child's stage. The meals are built around whole fruits, vegetables, grains and legumes, and the menu covers early purees through more textured toddler food. Once Upon a Farm, a US maker of cold-pressed baby and kids' food, bought the company in June 2021. Since then the meals have been relaunched as part of Once Upon a Farm's own baby and toddler range, and the line is now presented as formerly Raised Real. Shoppers should expect the Once Upon a Farm name and storefront rather than a separate Raised Real brand. The main appeal is still the same: organic, minimally processed meals with recognizable ingredients that are kept in the freezer and take little prep. The downsides come with frozen delivery. You need freezer space, someone has to handle the box when it arrives, and some meals need a quick blend or mash before serving. Families who want a stand-alone Raised Real experience may also find the rebrand confusing. It suits parents who value organic ingredients and convenience over cost.
