Space & Beyond Box (Astronomy magazine)

Closed. The website no longer works: it shows a hosting or server error instead of a shop. Kalmbach Media's quarterly box from Astronomy magazine closed in August 2023 after four years and 16 boxes.

What's in the box: Each quarterly box had a space or astronomy theme and mixed themed items with educational material from the Astronomy magazine team.

Space & Beyond Box is no longer operating: the box closed in August 2023, and its website now shows a 'store is unavailable' error instead of a shop. It was a quarterly subscription box from Astronomy magazine, published by Kalmbach Media. It ran for about four years and shipped 16 boxes in total. Each box had a space or astronomy theme and tried to be both fun and educational, pairing themed items with material from the team behind one of the best known astronomy magazines in the US. That link to the magazine was its main appeal. The box came from people who cover the night sky and space exploration for a living, not from a general novelty seller. Shipping every three months also made it a lighter commitment than a monthly box. Since it has closed, there is nothing to order, so treat any old subscription or gift links as dead. If you see these boxes resold online, they are leftover stock from past shipments, and no company stands behind them. If you want a space themed subscription today, look for one that is still running and make sure its store works before you pay.
