The Broken Binding

What's in the box: A monthly selection of exclusive, specially designed editions of fantasy, science fiction, history or horror titles, usually from adult backlist series.

New subscriptions to The Broken Binding are paused for now, so this is not a box you can join at the moment. When it was taking members, the service focused on exclusive and deluxe editions in fantasy and science fiction, with history and horror also in the mix. Its stated aim was to give backlist adult series a premium release, especially books that never came out in hardcover or had very small print runs. Subscribers chose a plan, and a package was shipped at the start of each month containing a curated selection of these special editions. The appeal was mainly to collectors who care about design, craftsmanship and limited availability as much as the reading itself. The wider store still appears to be active, listing individual special editions and pre-orders alongside author interviews and news posts, and there is an interest list for the subscription. The site does not state prices, plan details or when subscriptions might reopen. Treat the subscription as unavailable for now, and contact the company directly if you want to know whether it will return.
