Twisted Fantasy Subscription Box (Twisted Fiction Books)

What's in the box: Two special edition hardcovers with sprayed edges, illustrated end pages and foil detailing, chosen for dark fantasy and romance readers.

Twisted Fantasy is the fantasy subscription from Twisted Fiction Book Box, a small US shop that also runs a horror box and a line of miniature nostalgic editions. The plan ships every three months and renews automatically. Each box holds two special edition hardcovers with sprayed edges, illustrated end pages and foiling. It costs $75 plus shipping per box, so each book comes to about $37.50 before postage. That is roughly in line with other special edition book clubs. Shipping is charged on top, and the site does not give the shipping cost up front. The shop pitches this box around dark worlds, deadly magic and addictive romance, so expect dark fantasy and romantasy. Readers who want classic epic fantasy or hard science fiction should probably look elsewhere. The subscription page does not list past titles, so you are relying on the curators' taste. It also does not say whether boxes include extras like bookmarks or art prints, so treat the two books as the whole box. The store links a refund policy and a separate cancellation policy in its footer. Read both before you sign up, since the plan renews on its own. If you already collect sprayed edge editions and like romance mixed into your fantasy, this box is a reasonable choice.
