It was never a physical subscription box. Instead, it was a paid digital membership tier on harrypotter.com, the official Harry Potter fan site, aimed at fans who wanted more than the site's free features. Gold sat on top of the standard free account and offered extra members-only content and perks around the Wizarding World. Because the tier is gone, there is nothing to buy or ship, and the site does not offer a paid replacement. Much of what draws fans to harrypotter.com is still free. The site currently offers a Hogwarts Sorting Ceremony that has been redesigned for 2026, along with Patronus and wand discovery, a portrait maker, quizzes, puzzles, a J.K.
