WWC Official Coral Club

What's in the box: The site does not state what a typical club shipment contains, though the store specializes in named live coral frags and colonies.

World Wide Corals is a large US online reef shop. It sells corals, fish, invertebrates, supplies, merch and gift cards, and it also runs auctions. Its catalog is clearly aimed at serious reef keepers. The featured section, Vics Picks, lists named designer corals such as Bowerbanki, Yuma mushrooms, chalices, Trachyphyllia, Goniopora and Acropora, with single pieces priced from $149 to $999. A WYSIWYG section, where the photo shows the exact coral you get, has smaller frags starting at $29. The Official Coral Club is the store's subscription offering. However, the main storefront does not explain how the club works. It does not say how often shipments arrive, which corals are included, what the club costs, or how to cancel. Before you sign up, read the club's own page carefully and confirm what each shipment contains and what the shipping terms are. Live coral shipping depends on weather and on someone being home to receive it. The shop's strength is its wide range of named, high color corals, which suggests the club could be a good way to collect pieces regularly. Shoppers who want clear terms up front may find the lack of detail frustrating.
