What's in the box: A box typically held a mix of seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables, with organic or all natural options and room to swap items.
Farmbox Direct does not appear to be operating right now. Its website shows a server error instead of a shop, and there is no way to browse or order. When it was running, Farmbox Direct was a US home delivery service for fresh fruits and vegetables. It shipped boxes of produce to doorsteps across the country, not just within one local area. It was known for offering a choice between organic and all natural produce. Customers could also swap items in and out of a box to get more of what they liked and less of what they did not. Boxes came in several sizes for single people, couples and families, and deliveries arrived on a recurring schedule. The appeal was simple: farm style produce without a trip to the store, with more control than many fixed produce boxes offered. Because the site is down, it is not clear whether orders, subscriptions or customer support are still active. If you had a subscription, check your bank or card statements for charges. Contact your card issuer if you see payments for boxes that never arrived. If you want a produce box today, choose a service with a working website and clear ordering options.
