Farmizen

What's in the box: There is no current box; the site plans to let you see harvests from individual organic farms and order from them directly over WhatsApp.

Farmizen was once known for letting city households in India rent a small organic farm plot and receive the harvest at home. Today the site presents itself very differently, as an organic farming community rather than a delivery service. The homepage centers on discussion forums, farm directories, courses, farm consulting, farmstays and farmland listings for buying, selling or leasing. One of the community threads asks why Farmizen stopped grocery delivery, and the site does not describe any current subscription box, delivery schedule or plan. A produce board shows a few sample listings from farms in Bangalore, Pune and Mysore, each with a WhatsApp contact button. It is marked Coming Soon, with a note that you will eventually be able to see harvest details and order directly from individual farms. That would make Farmizen a go-between connecting you with growers, not a box you subscribe to. If you want regular fresh produce delivered to your door, there is nothing to sign up for right now. If you want to grow your own food, find organic farms near you or swap advice with other growers, the community and learning sections may still be useful. Check the site before assuming delivery is available in your city.
