Messy Box is no longer operating. A Beautiful Mess ended both Messy Box and its companion Happy Mail subscription after the final boxes in August 2017. When it ran, Messy Box was a monthly craft kit from the team behind the A Beautiful Mess lifestyle blog, which is known for colorful DIY, home decor and recipe content. Each box collected the supplies for a few small craft projects and came with instructions, so subscribers could finish them at home. Happy Mail did something similar for stationery fans, sending paper goods for letter writing and journaling. The draw was getting the blog's playful, approachable style as something you could actually hold. Today the website is a free blog of recipes, cocktails, home decor and craft tutorials, including beginner guides to macrame, resin art, candle making and friendship bracelets. There is no subscription page or box to order, and the site offers no replacement product. If you liked the idea of Messy Box, the free tutorials are a reasonable way to try the same kind of projects, but you will need to buy your own supplies.
