Mighty Box

What's in the box: The site does not clearly say what a typical box contains, though you can expect a selection drawn from the shop's board game range.

Mighty Box is the subscription offer from Mighty Games, a hobby retailer with a physical shop in Lausanne and an online store. The shop covers a wide range: board games, card games such as Magic: The Gathering and Lorcana, Warhammer miniatures, roleplaying games, 3D printing and in-store events. That breadth suggests the people choosing the box know the hobby well, which is a good sign for curation. The site gives Mighty Box its own place in the main menu, but its front page says little about how the box works. It does not explain the contents, how often boxes ship, the price or the commitment, so check the Mighty Box page carefully before you sign up. The shop's general service promises are solid. Orders are prepared within one to two business days, delivery is free on purchases from 69 CHF, and staff answer live chat during opening hours. The site is in French, which suits shoppers in Romandie but may be less convenient elsewhere in Switzerland. If you live near Lausanne, the shop also gives you somewhere to go in person with questions or problems. For Swiss board gamers who want to support a local specialist rather than a large international service, this is worth a look. Just confirm the details first.
