Despite the name, TableTop Monthly does not work like a monthly subscription box. It is a regular online shop that sells add-ons for Catan: bonus victory point cards, custom hexes, scenarios and replacement pieces. A smaller section covers other games. The site does not list a subscription plan, a recurring box or a monthly price. If you want a curated delivery every month, look elsewhere. The products themselves are playful. The Master Thief card gives an extra point to the player who rolls the most sevens, and the Victim Mentality card rewards the player who gets robbed the most. Both add small twists to a familiar game. Hexes such as the Volcano and the seasonal Winter tiles change the board itself, and the Christmas Town scenario is meant for family play over the holidays. These are compatible products, not official Catan releases, so check that they suit your edition. Many listings mention the 5th Edition and Seafarers. The company says its hexes and cards are printed in the USA and that it is a certified minority owned business. It offers free returns within 30 days and free shipping on orders of $20 or more. Single cards cost about eleven dollars, which is steep for one card. Bundles bring the price per card down.
