My College Crate

Moved. The old site now redirects to thecarecrateco.com.

What's in the box: Snack care packages of chips, candy, microwave snacks and other dorm-friendly treats, with some boxes themed for an occasion.

My College Crate no longer operates as its own brand: mycollegecrate.com now redirects to The Care Crate Co., a different storefront that sells gifts for college students. When it ran under its own name, My College Crate sold snack care packages that parents could ship to students on campus. The range included ready-made snack boxes in several sizes and boxes for occasions such as birthdays, holidays and exam weeks. There were also build-your-own crates where the buyer chose the occasion, the snacks and any add-ons. Vegan and gluten-free options were part of the range. A monthly plan sent a care package to a student every month after a one-time setup. The Care Crate Co. site still uses the My College Crate name and sells a very similar range, so the redirect looks more like a rebrand or merger than a simple shutdown. Still, you can no longer order from the original My College Crate store or its subscription, and the site does not say what happened to existing subscriptions. Anyone who had an active plan should contact The Care Crate Co. directly to check its status before assuming anything carried over. If you want something similar now, judge the successor site on its own merits.
