Closed. The website no longer loads. Monthly college box launched in 2013; the latest activity found is a July 2015 promotion, and no closure notice was found.
What's in the box: When it ran, a box typically held snacks and small everyday items chosen for college students living away from home.
Pijon, also called PijonBox, is no longer operating, and its website at pijonbox.com does not load. It launched in 2013 as a monthly subscription box for college students. The idea was simple: parents or other relatives signed up, and a box of treats and small useful items went out to a student away at school every month. The last sign of activity we could find was a promotion in July 2015. We found no announcement that it was closing, and the company has not said what happened to existing subscriptions or customer accounts. The site does not state a contact method that still works. Because the service is gone, you cannot sign up, and we would not recommend sending money to anything that claims to be Pijon now. If you want to send a care package to a college student, look for a service that is clearly active, has a working website, and lists its contents and policies openly. Pijon is mostly worth knowing about as part of the history of college care package subscriptions. It was one of several small companies that tried to turn the classic package from home into a recurring monthly delivery.
