Romance Reveal Book Box

What's in the box: Signed surprise paperbacks matched to your favorite romance tropes, plus bookish swag and other goodies on every plan except Single Book.

Romance Reveal Book Box is a monthly subscription for contemporary romance readers. When you sign up, you tell the team your favorite tropes and subgenres, such as friends to lovers, mafia, rom-com, sports, dark or enemies to lovers. Their curators then choose books from their stock to match. The site says it usually covers 15 to 20 types of romance each month, and every plan sends signed books. There are four plans. The Original Box costs $30.95 a month for two signed books plus bookish swag and goodies. The Big Box is $52.95 for four books, and The Bigger Box is $79.95 for six. The Single Book plan costs $13.95 for one signed book with no extras. You can change plans, skip or cancel at any time. Your account renews on the same day each month, and boxes ship within 10 business days. The main appeal is that it's personalized and every plan includes signed copies, which is unusual. The catch is that you don't pick the books. The site lists FAQ questions about duplicates, standalone titles and whether your tropes are guaranteed, but the main page doesn't answer them. It also doesn't show the shipping cost, so check both before you subscribe.
