Board Game Bento

Closed. My Subscription Addiction lists the Blind Ferret box (launched October 2015) as inactive, but no official closure date was found.

What's in the box: When it operated, each box offered a themed selection of tabletop games along with related gaming extras.

Board Game Bento is no longer operating as a subscription box, and you cannot sign up for deliveries today. The service was run by Blind Ferret, the Canadian entertainment company behind the Looking for Group webcomic, and it launched in October 2015 for shoppers in the US. It is now listed as inactive, though no official closure date has been announced. When it ran, the idea was a themed box that paired tabletop games with related extras, so subscribers could discover titles they might not have picked out on their own. The boardgamebento.com address still loads, but it now hosts general board game blog content, such as an October 2024 guide to building a custom game shelf. It has no box ordering or account pages. The site does not explain what happened to the subscription, and it offers no support details for past members. If you want a board game subscription, think of Board Game Bento as a piece of hobby history rather than an option. Look instead for a service that is clearly taking orders and that lists its current contents and terms. Former subscribers with questions about old orders will likely find little help on the current site.
